Children's Rights
Since the creation of the 1924 Geneva Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the League of Nations,
world leaders continue to recognize the importance of protecting children. Given that a great majority
of the Coalition’s work will focus on adults as the fundamental members of the family unit, we will
ensure that the unhealed child within these adults understand that they were and still are entitled to
the protections and freedoms stated in these rights. In so doing, the Coalition shall secure measurable
gains toward providing safe families for all children currently living as well as those yet to be born.
United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child
The following articles from the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of a Child (1990) shall primarily
guide the advocacy campaigns, programs, services, and activities sponsored and/or provided by the
International Freedom Coalition:
Articles 1, 3, 5, 7, 12-14, 17-20, 23-24, 27-29, 31-39, and 42
