Marvinique is a proud native of East St. Louis, IL. Growing up in a place that carries a negative reputation reminds her how fortunate and blessed she has been to carry a spirit of excellence and endurance in whatever life brings her. From a child, she took pride in learning and developed a passion for working with numbers. She continued to develop her number crunching skills and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and later a Masters in Business Administration. While she thoroughly enjoys her career and the path it has taken her, she has a desire to use her professional skills to help small business owners develop and grow their companies. Therefore, in 2010, with the support of her husband and family, she will launch Accounting Analysis & Consulting LLC.

The call to service is very important to Marvinique; helping others see and achieve his or her own potential has meaning to her because she remembers how someone once helped her do the same thing. However, as important as this is, finding the right organization to volunteer her time is equally important. This led her to contact the International Freedom Coalition. The dedication, sincerity, and selfless gesture of the Coalition’s leadership were compelling and she was ready and willing to help in any capacity. She currently volunteers as Chief Financial Officer for International Freedom Coalition.
Marvinique believes in the Organization’s overall mission, to build strong families and communities. While she is not the product of a strong mother and father union, she does believe she came from a strong family and gives credit to her mother and grandmother. It was their strength and dedication that showed Marvinique her current location or state of being did not and would not determine her future. She can appreciate this first hand as she is living proof. Marvinique is excited to connect with other young women in hopes that they realize the same possibilities exist for them and they can transition and grow into strong members of their communities. After all, strong communities begin with strong families and strong families begin with strong people. Marvinique is very blessed to share her life with her husband, Mario and their two daughters, Dominique and Mariah. Out of all the blessings she has received, they truly are her greatest.
